Paint balling

Tomorrow our group will take the young builders of Doonbeg Bonfire paint balling and for some McDonalds. This project enabled us to make connections with young people within the estate and the Borough discussing the importance of our culture within our communities.
Year in year after we see media bias centred around Bonfires and Unionism/Loyalism in general which totally over shadows the significant meaning and history behind them, we need to guide our youth to celebrate their history and culture in a respectful way.
It’s April we hear you say? Our group has no paid workers whatsoever and funding is scarce for the most part but luckily our friends Rab at The Whitehouse, Rosemary Bell-McCracken at McDonalds and Wendy at Impact Network NI helped us out which has made this possible.
We are looking forward to hosting them ☺️
