We’re delighted to announce that the Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough council have completed phase 1 of their new augmented reality trails and will be officially launching later this month. The app is called Time Travel Trails and you can download it for free on the App store for Iphone via this link – https://apps.apple.com/…/time-travel-trails/id6504255173 – or it’s available on Google Play for Android phones.
Select ‘ The Secrets of Belfast Lough Trail’. It runs from Whiteabbey Green to Gideons Green. We recommend downloading the content beforehand when connected to WIFI.
You can explore the trail using the GPS-enabled map and experience impressive augmented reality portals to the past, transporting you back in time into fully reconstructed historic 3D scenes. You’ll also find plenty of interesting facts, compelling videos, and hear about famous and lesser known events from the area’s history along the way.
They also have the ‘Secrets of Antrim Castle Gardens Trail’ which you can avail of too if you’re in that area. Dalaradia made a significant contribution to the app and we wish it great success. Please share
