Thank you

Folks on behalf of RATH and Dalaradia can we say a huge thank you to everyone who attended the Rathcoole Row on Row service today.
The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members.
A special thank you to the following groups/members for laying wreaths:
A huge thank you to Rathcoole Protestant Boys. A fine performance by them.
Many thanks to George McKimm and Tommy Braiden of the Peoples Church Newtownabbey for the lovely service.
Thank you to D.Coy military enthusiasts for attending.
Many thanks to Richard, Mark at the Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council and Gerard at Clanmill for their help.
More photos and a video of the event will be shared in the coming days. The garden is an open space and is available to members of the community to lay crosses, please feel free to at any stage.
Alone, we can do so little; together, we can do so much! Not for glory nor riches, but for our people.

Well done to Jim

A big well done to our own Jim.
He was nominated by a fellow RATH member and only went on and won it.
Congratulations ⚽️ 👏

New addition

Folks we have installed a new addition to Rathcoole Row on Row.
Gravestones for the three Irish regiments based in Ulster: the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers, the Royal Irish Fusiliers and the Royal Irish Rifles.
These are placed temporarily for tomorrows service but will become a permanent fixture of the garden.
We hope to see you tomorrow at 13:00 for our service.

Mr Poppy

We had a special visitor yesterday evening at Rathcoole Row on Row. Poppy man popped down for a quick photo.
We had a chance meeting with some local children at the park and invited them over for a photo and found an opportunity to educate them on the gardens importance, they were really respectable and are a credit to the estate.
A big well done to local man Darren Shuff aka Poppy man. His efforts year round raises much needed funds for the Royal British legions Northern Ireland Poppy Appeal.
The Poppy Appeal raises vital funds to support the Armed Forces community; and wearing the poppy shows them that you care and remember.

There are 5 post boxes within the area but unfortunately the one at the diamond could not be done properly due to its shape, but we will work on a different design for it for next year 😊
The post box toppers are located at:
